Andy Reeve founded the company when he realised that mental health charities were unable to cope with the volume of calls during peak periods up to 80% of calls went unanswered – while some operators were dealing with non-serious issues.
With a former background in psychiatric nursing and a recent background as an entrepreneur in digital marketing and most relevantly in the development of AI tools to support his business needs, he recognized that he could develop new AI tools to ease the pressure on live operators by providing an “always-on” interface that would engage with users, provide a level of signposting and look out for key trigger words that would indicate a serious issue that should be flagged to a live operator – thus offering a triage system for limited professional resources, enabling the prioritisation of limited resources.
He approached Graham Skelton a former colleague who through research discovered that the scale of mental health and wellbeing issues in the workplace was of such a massive scale that the tools Andy had created could be applied to the delivery of a business service.
As the AI tools were developed in-house, with no third-party license fees to be paid, Avazcare are able to deliver a standard AMY managed service FREE OF CHARGE for all business.
